The Colorado Association for School-Based Health Care advocates for
health care in schools for Colorado's children and adolescents.
Established in 1996, CASBHC is a 501(c)(3) organization. Its
funding comes from a variety of sources including grants, membership
dues, conference registrations, and individual
contributions.
CASBHC provides policy leadership, training and technical assistance,
and quality assurance programs.
Our Vision
Colorado’s children will have quality, integrated school
health services that improve health status, optimize academic
achievement, and enhance well-being.
Our Mission
Keeping children healthy, in school, and ready to learn.
Our Core Values
We believe that every child should receive the care necessary
to optimize health and well-being.
We believe that preventive and primary health care should be
available where children are, in school.
We believe that good health is essential for student success
and that delivering health care in schools will improve academic
achievement.
We believe that school-based health centers provide children
with the tools they need to make healthy choices now and in the
future.
We believe that children will not care what we know until
they know that we care.
