Dr. Apryl Alexander

We are thrilled to share with you that our keynote speaker for this year's virtual Annual Conference will be Dr. Apryl Alexander!

Dr. Alexander is an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology with concentrations in forensic psychology and child and family therapy. Dr. Alexander’s research and clinical work focus on violence and victimization, human sexuality, and trauma-informed and culturally informed practice. She is an award-winning researcher and her work has been published in several leading journals. Dr. Alexander has been interviewed by numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, USA Today, and NBC Nightly News, about her research and advocacy work. Additionally, Dr. Alexander is also a community organizer with Black Lives Matter 5280 and a board member for the Colorado Juvenile Defender Center and the Colorado Criminal Defense Institute.

Registration IS NOW OPEN. We will be re-imagining the conference in a virtual world so instead of day-long sessions, the conference will be broken up into manageable chunks over the two days. Please note that we have changed from 3 days to 2.


We plan to celebrate CASBHC's 25th anniversary, honor the strength of the SBHC field seen during the pandemic, and look ahead to a new normal where we build our collective resiliency and a renewed focus on health equity.
