While in-person learning in the academic year 2020-21 is in flux, School-Based Health Centers will have services available. Check back on this CASBHC schedule sheet for updates. CASBHC also released a SBHC Re-Entry Guide.

CASBHC's ANNUAL CONFERENCE: April 27-29, 2021

The theme of this year's conference is Collective Resilience and Renewed Focus on Equity. We will be re-imagining the conference in a virtual world so instead of day-long sessions, the conference will be broken up into manageable chunks over the three days. Dynamic, Yet Successful Legislative Session in 2020

CASBHC is proud to say that majority of the bills we supported and benefit our communities became law. We also were able to preserve state funding for SBHCs to continue to serve communities being affected by COVID-19, both directly and indirectly. See more in our summary.

Expanded Access to Mental Health Services

House Bill 20-1411 was signed into law on June 22, 2020. This directs federal COVID-19 (CARES) funding to SBHCs, among other entities, to meet communities' needs for mental health and substance use supports.

CASBHC Establishes Endowment

The CASBHC board of directors is pleased to announce the establishment of an endowment with Community First Foundation, which provided an additional $50,000 incentive grant in December. The new CASBHC Endowment Fund will help ensure that CASBHC work continues until "health and academic outcomes for kids are no longer predicted by circumstance."
