Minor Consent Laws
Psychotherapy Services

Colorado House Bill 19-1120 went into effect in 2019, lowering the age of consent for psychotherapy services to 12 years old.

Note, HB 19-1120 does not allow for minor consent for psychiatric services; the bill specifies which providers and services qualify for consent.
Substance Use Treatment
-
In Colorado, minors of any age may consent for substance use treatment without parental knowledge or permission.
